Waterloo-Moms aims to join mothers with others! All moms know the challenges that parenting can present and how isolating it can be at times. We hope to provide a forum for moms to connect with one another to provide and receive support, advice and ideas on how to stay sane while trying to raise respectable members of our society. It’s a tough task to consider in the midst of all the laundry, dishes and homework. No matter what type of parent you are you are sure to find others with similiar views to relate with, who knows, you might even learn something new from those with differing parenting styles! We hope that you enjoy your time here and welcome your feedback.
Leslie Callaghan – I’m a mom to 4 busy boys and one beautiful girl ages 2 through to 18 years old. If that isn’t busy enough for you we are also a foster family for Children’s Aid and often have one or two more little ones in the house. Between the piles of laundry and hoards of homework I run www.londonmoms.ca as well as www.waterloo-moms.ca with my business partner Alex. In my lack of spare time I love to scrapbook and look forward to the weekend retreats that I organize several times per year so that I can do some power scrapping! I usually coach one of my boys soccer teams but this year I thought it would be “fun” to take on the role of convenor! Ask me in September how I feel about that! I’m on the parent council of the kids school and work part time for CAS in recruitment and retention of foster parents. I love to cook and bake but my favorite thing to do is to organize events and get great deals! I’ll make sure that you get to take advantage of those skills with some awesome group rates.
